FreeMind runs on Microsoft Windows, as well as on other operating systems. Windows versions on which some version of FreeMind has been successfully used include Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP (SP1 & SP2), Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

With Windows 7 32-bit, some users are experiencing problems with saving a mind map[1].
