A one-time electronic engineer, now a software developer. After several years as a T-SQL developer I moved into C# development a few years ago. I'm playing with Python in my spare time. Something of a wanderer by nature, in the last 15 years I've lived in Santiago de Chile, London (UK) and now it's Christchurch, New Zealand. In addition to programming, I've enjoyed tramping (New Zealand-speak for hiking) and tall-ship sailing.
