SimplyHTML was greatly enhanced for FreeMind by Dimitry Polivaev and Dan Polansky, two FreeMind developers. A set of patches by Dan was incorporated by Dimnitry in years 2007-2009. It was Dimitry who took the lead on proposing SimplyHTML as superior to alternatives and made initial changes to it.
Dimitry seems to have switched SimplyHTML development to GitHub, as part of Freeplane.
